Commenting on Akbank’s second-quarter 2026 financial performance, General Manager Kaan Gür said: “In the second quarter, uncertainties stemming from geopolitical developments caused notable volatility in global markets and commodity prices. While the effects of this volatility were observed domestically in inflation, the external balance, and the budget, the policy measures proactively taken by our economic administration allowed domestic financial markets to follow a relatively calmer course. Throughout this process, Akbank and the Turkish banking sector continued, as always, to provide strong support to the country’s economy.”
