German regtech Hawk has named Eli Chamoun as its new president and chief revenue officer (CRO), effective immediately.

Chamoun brings over two decades of experience to the role and previously spent 18 years at NICE Actimize, a US-based provider of financial crime, risk, and compliance solutions for financial institutions.

He first joined the company as a financial compliance solutions architect in 2006, and rose through the ranks before eventually landing the position of global vice president and global head of sales in 2020. In January 2025, he parted ways with the firm to join third-party risk management platform SecurityScorecard as chief revenue officer.

In his new role, Hawk says Chamoun will lead “global revenue strategy and operations, as well as deepen relationships with banks, payment companies and partners, and scale and develop the go-to-market team”.

Established in 2018, Hawk provides a range of AI-powered AML, screening, and fraud checker services for financial crime detection. According to Tracxn, the regtech has raised a total of $83 million in funding to date, including a $17 million Series B raise in 2023, which was extended twice in 2024, and a $56 million Series C in 2025.
