Lovable raises $400 million at $13.3 billion valuation

Lovable, which serves half of Fortune 500 companies, has hosted more than 60 million projects to date.

AI-powered software development platform Lovable has raised $400 million in a Series C round at a $13.3 billion valuation. The round was led by Menlo Ventures, with Scaleup Europe Fund, managed by EQT, co-leading the round.

Expanding its global investor base, the company added Balderton Capital and Carmignac from Europe, Kaszek Ventures and LTS Growth from Latin America, Tencent and World Innovation Lab from Asia, and Regent from the US among its investors. Existing investors including Accel, Antler, CapitalG, DST Global, Evantic Capital, HubSpot Ventures, and Salesforce Ventures also participated in the round.

Founded in November 2024 and based in Stockholm, Lovable allows users to describe, in everyday language, the app or website they want to build. The platform turns that description into a fully functional web application without requiring users to write a single line of code. Users can build the interface, database, login flow, and hosting all from a single chat window, and take the product directly to a live link.

The vibe-coding startup has hosted more than 60 million projects to date. Serving half of Fortune 500 companies, Lovable said apps built on its platform receive more than 900 million visits per month. According to user surveys, roughly 80 percent of users are building a business or side project aimed at generating income. Teams at established companies such as Adidas, NVIDIA, and Deutsche Telekom also use the platform to build software for their internal workflows.

Since its Series B round in December 2025, Lovable has developed payment infrastructure, a search engine, and tools that provide visibility in AI search. The company has also built deeper integrations with services such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Stripe, and ElevenLabs, and obtained AIUC-1 certification, the first security standard for AI agents.

Lovable said it will direct the new funding toward product, infrastructure, and its team. The startup, which aims to grow its headcount to around 450, plans to direct the bulk of its hiring toward machine learning, product, infrastructure, and security. The company will keep its headquarters in Stockholm while taking new steps to grow its presence in London, Boston, San Francisco, and New York.

İş Yatırım makes crypto move: Acquiring Futurance

İş Yatırım has decided to acquire 100 percent of the capital of Futurance Kripto Varlık Alım Satım Platformu A.Ş. for $3.65 million, aiming to strengthen its presence in the crypto asset market.

İş Yatırım Menkul Değerler A.Ş. (ISMEN) announced in a disclosure to Turkey’s Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) that its Board of Directors had decided to acquire all shares of Futurance, which operates in Türkiye’s crypto asset market. The acquisition, subject to the necessary adjustments during the process, is planned to be carried out for $3,650,000. The company also stated that it had authorized its general management to complete the legal and official steps of the acquisition process.

İş Yatırım’s full acquisition of Futurance, which also owns the Fexobit brand, is seen as one of the moves set to increase institutional finance players’ share and competitiveness in the crypto sector.

Ödero and Otokar partner to digitalize payment and collection processes

Ödero, the online payment brand of Token Ödeme Hizmetleri ve Elektronik Para A.Ş., part of the Koç Group — which marks its 100th anniversary this year — has entered into a strategic partnership with Otokar. Through the partnership, Ödero is digitalizing payment processes for Otokar’s dealer network, making transactions faster, more secure, and easier, while also delivering a financially advantageous payment experience.

Ödero, the online payment solutions brand of Koç Group, and Otokar, one of Türkiye’s leading automotive manufacturers, have entered into a comprehensive partnership aimed at digitalizing payment processes. Under the partnership, Ödero is strengthening Otokar’s corporate payment infrastructure while streamlining processes for the company’s dealer network and customers through solutions that offer a fast, secure, and flexible payment experience.

Speed, control, and operational efficiency in collection processes

Built on Ödero’s strong technological infrastructure, the Dealer Collection Solution offers Otokar round-the-clock online collection capability, requiring no integration. Through this digitalized process, the solution reduces Otokar’s collection days and simplifies cash management, allowing faster access to collections and more efficient management of net working capital. Through features such as detailed income-expense and collection reports and suspicious transaction monitoring, the solution digitalizes and simplifies the work of finance teams, while also contributing positively to dealers’ risk-collateral balance.

The solution Ödero offers dealers allows Otokar dealers to collect vehicle pre-sale payments and vehicle maintenance-service fees with installment advantages, without having to enter into separate agreements and reconciliation processes with banks. In addition, thanks to the integration of Otokar’s dealer incentive system with Ödero, incentive amounts are automatically applied to payment plans, allowing more favorable installment terms to be offered to customers. The convenience Ödero provides reduces the workload of Otokar dealers while increasing their sales volume.

An easy, fast payment experience for customers

Through Ödero, customers’ payment processes at Otokar dealerships are being digitalized. Customers can make fast and easy payments through a secure digital payment infrastructure, from wherever they choose, and can also take advantage of installment payment options valid across all banks. The fast, secure payment infrastructure shortens transaction times at dealerships, contributing to customer satisfaction.

Commenting on the Ödero-Otokar partnership, Token Ödeme Hizmetleri ve Elektronik Para A.Ş. General Manager Hande Sarıdal said: “At Ödero, drawing on Koç Group’s expertise in technology and finance, we develop payment solutions that can be customized to the needs of different sectors. Today, businesses need technologies that speed up not just their sales processes, but also their collection operations, while boosting efficiency. The payment and collection solutions we’ve developed with this need in mind benefit the parent company, dealers, and end customers alike, enabling payment processes to be managed more effectively end to end through high security standards and a strong technical infrastructure.”

Otokar Deputy General Manager (Commercial Vehicles) Kerem Erman said the company continues to roll out innovative solutions tailored to customer needs, adding: “At Otokar, we stand by our customers — aiming to create value not only through our vehicles, but also through solutions that simplify business processes and access to financing. Through our partnership with Ödero, we aim to offer our customers speed and convenience in the vehicle purchasing process, while also making our dealers’ sales and collection processes more efficient.”

Binance: Quantum computers not an urgent threat today, but preparation must begin now

  • The potential of quantum computers to eventually break encryption systems has once again brought crypto security to the forefront of discussion. Binance Chief Security Officer Jimmy Su emphasizes that while risks in this area do not pose an urgent threat today, preparation should not be delayed.
  • Su assesses common misconceptions about quantum computers following a study published by Google Quantum AI researchers in March 2026, highlighting the industry’s roadmap toward post-quantum security.

Jimmy Su, Chief Security Officer at global crypto asset platform Binance, has shared a comprehensive assessment of the potential impact of quantum computers on crypto asset security. The statement addresses the five most commonly asked questions on the topic.

The assessment follows findings published by Google Quantum AI researchers in March 2026. The findings indicate that the amount of resources future quantum computers would need to break the public-key cryptography used in the Bitcoin and Ethereum networks could be up to roughly 20 times lower than previously estimated. Su emphasizes that while this study underscores the importance of early preparation, current quantum computers remain far from having the capacity to break the cryptography protecting major blockchain networks such as Bitcoin and Ethereum.

“Quantum computers could pose a genuine security risk in the long run, but there is no urgent threat to crypto assets today. What matters is being prepared before that picture changes,” said Binance Chief Security Officer Jimmy Su. The key points from his statement are as follows:

No direct near-term threat: Current quantum computers lack the scale, error-correction capacity, and reliability needed to break the cryptography protecting digital assets. A sufficiently advanced quantum computer could, in the future, derive private keys from public keys using Shor’s algorithm — but today’s machines remain far from that capability.

Why preparation should start now: Google Quantum AI’s findings show that previous estimates of the resources quantum computers would need to break cryptography could drop by up to roughly 20-fold. While current machines are not capable of carrying out such an attack, these kinds of revisions suggest the industry should not delay its transition preparations.

Today’s real security risks lie elsewhere: Su notes that the biggest risks facing crypto users today are not quantum computers, but phishing attacks, malware, social engineering attempts, compromised account credentials, and weak wallet security. Emphasizing that users should maintain established security practices, Su also warns that rushing toward products marketed as “quantum-resistant” could create additional risk.

The real challenge lies in the transition, not the technology: Post-quantum cryptography algorithms already exist. What’s needed is a coordinated, industry-wide transition across developers, miners, node operators, exchanges, custody providers, wallet developers, and millions of users — a process that also brings complex governance decisions for blockchain communities.

Ecosystem-wide collaboration is needed: Ecosystem participants like Binance are closely following developments in quantum computing, evaluating post-quantum security standards, and preparing their infrastructure to support the industry’s long-term transition. Su notes that this issue cannot be solved by a single company, and requires a coordinated effort across the entire ecosystem.

A call for long-term alignment in preparing for the post-quantum era

Su concluded his statement: “The reason we’re talking about quantum today isn’t because there’s an emergency. It’s because waiting until an emergency arises could mean it’s already too late. The crypto industry has evolved through major technological shifts before. I believe it will adapt to the post-quantum era with the same spirit of preparation and collaboration. Until then, staying informed and not neglecting fundamental security measures is of great importance.”

Enpara Bank wins double honor at Global Finance’s Digital Bank Awards

Enpara Bank has received two major awards at the 2026 World’s Best Digital Bank Awards, organized by international finance publication Global Finance. The bank was named both “Best Neobank in Western Europe” and “Best Neobank in Türkiye.”

Enpara Bank achieved this dual success in the 27th edition of Global Finance’s “World’s Best Digital Bank Awards.” With this result, Enpara Bank has secured yet another significant international accolade for Türkiye’s digital banking model, ranking first in two separate categories in Global Finance’s 2026 evaluation.

The awards, determined through a preliminary evaluation by a jury from global technology giant Infosys followed by a final decision from Global Finance’s editors, were based on criteria including digital customer growth, product diversity, mobile app design, and user experience. Having placed first in both Türkiye and Western Europe in the first round, Enpara Bank will now compete in the second round, where global winners will be determined, at the “World’s Best Digital Banks and AI in Finance Awards” ceremony to be held in Singapore on October 13, 2026.

A pioneer of the branchless, fully digital banking model in Türkiye, Enpara Bank has once again cemented its success with these prestigious international awards. Enpara Bank, the leading representative in Türkiye of the neobank model — a new generation of banking that operates without a physical branch network, serving customers entirely through mobile and internet channels — also stands out for its strong financial ratios.

Continuing its journey as an independent digital bank within QNB Group, Enpara Bank posted a return on equity of 37.7 percent in the first half of 2026.

Commenting on the awards, Enpara Bank General Manager Cumhur Türkmen said: “It’s a great source of pride for us that the banking model we’ve developed in Türkiye has been named the best neobank in both Türkiye and Western Europe. We see these two awards as a result of the trust more than 9 million of our customers place in Enpara Bank and the hard work of all our colleagues.”

Enpara Bank, which began operations in 2012 under QNB Türkiye, received its operating license from Türkiye’s Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) as of August 2024. Through a partial demerger completed on August 28, 2025, Enpara Bank A.Ş. separated from QNB Türkiye and began operating as an independent deposit bank. Today, Enpara Bank serves more than 9 million customers under QNB Group, operating exclusively through mobile and internet channels rather than a physical branch network.

NYC Council probes Polymarket over alleged predatory marketing practices

New York City Council Speaker Julie Menin has accused major prediction market startups of using predatory marketing practices to exploit young traders, according to a letter sent to Polymarket that ‌shows the council has opened an investigation into the allegations.

The letter from Menin to Polymarket CEO Shayne Coplan, dated August 11, also named other prediction market platforms, including Kalshi, Coinbase (COIN.O), opens new tab and Gemini Titan (GEMI.O), opens new tab, in connection with alleged marketing practices targeting young users. Prediction market startups such as Polymarket allow people to wager on event contracts across topics including politics, sports and entertainment. The sector has expanded rapidly in recent years, attracting a large base of traders.

Critics say the platforms are little more than gambling and could pose risks tied to insider trading and habit-forming behavior.

The letter, citing news reports, said Polymarket allegedly conspired with marketing agents and social media influencers to target young adults and potentially minors with false and deceptive advertising.

“We look forward to engaging with The New York City Council on this matter,” a spokesperson for ‌Polymarket said in a mailed statement to Reuters. The investigation by the New York City Council could become a defining test for Polymarket and other prediction market platforms as they defend their business model against state regulators challenging event contracts, including sports-related markets.

Polymarket is regulated by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Earlier this year, the CFTC sued New York, accusing the state of encroaching on federal authority by pursuing prediction-market companies under gambling laws.

According to the letter, Polymarket allegedly paid influencers without disclosure, produced videos showing fake trades on sites built to mimic its platform, presented losing bets as winners and encouraged insider trading.

The letter also asked Polymarket to answer questions about its use of social media, influencers and content creators in its marketing campaigns.

Turkey moves to regulate Booking and Airbnb with new licensing and commission limits

AK Partİ has submitted a bill to the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) regulating the activities of foreign digital accommodation platforms such as Booking and Airbnb in Türkiye. If passed into law, the bill would require these platforms to obtain an operating license and appoint a local representative in Türkiye, while capping the commission they can charge on accommodation sales at 17 percent. The regulation could also pave the way for Booking, which has been blocked in Türkiye for roughly nine years, to resume operations should it meet certain conditions.

Under the bill, foreign digital accommodation platforms such as Booking and Airbnb would be required to obtain an operating license from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Platforms already operating in Türkiye would be given three months to apply for a license after the law takes effect. Platforms would also be required to appoint a local representative in Türkiye.

The license fee has been set at 5 million lira, an amount that would be adjusted annually in line with the revaluation rate. The license, valid for two years, could not be transferred to another person or entity.

Licensed platforms would be permitted to carry out online sales and marketing for accommodation businesses certified by the Ministry as well as residences with tourism rental permits. Platforms would also be allowed to sell airline tickets.

The bill also sets a cap on the commissions platforms can earn from accommodation sales. Under the proposal, the total amount charged as commission, service fee, or under any other name could not exceed 17 percent of the sale price, calculated on the sale price excluding VAT.

Foreign platforms would additionally be required to pay a tourism levy of 0.075 percent (7.5 in ten thousand) to Türkiye’s Tourism Promotion and Development Agency for activities carried out under their operating license.

The new regulation would also increase platforms’ responsibilities regarding listing security. Platforms would be obligated to verify the certification numbers issued by the Ministry for accommodation facilities and tourism rental residences listed on their systems, and to publish these numbers in the listings.

For disputes arising from activities covered under the regulation, Turkish law would apply and Turkish courts would have jurisdiction.

For the bill to become law, it must first be approved by TBMM committees and subsequently by the General Assembly.

Anthropic strikes USD 9 billion cloud deal with Riot Platforms

Anthropic has agreed to a USD 9 billion, 20-year cloud computing deal with Riot Platforms to expand its computing capacity. The deal forms part of Anthropic’s ongoing efforts to secure sufficient computing resources to meet growing demand from its customers.

Contract terms and capacity

According to Bloomberg, the agreement runs through June 2048 and is expected to generate USD 9.1 billion in revenue for Riot Platforms, the company said. It also includes an option to extend the contract twice, by five years each time, which could bring total sales to as much as USD 16.1 billion.

Neither company has confirmed the identity of the counterparty publicly. Riot Platforms declined to comment, and Anthropic did not respond to a request for comment.

The agreement adds to a series of computing deals Anthropic has signed with cloud infrastructure suppliers in recent months as it works to keep pace with demand for its Claude AI tools. Earlier deals include a USD 10 billion agreement with Volta Infra, a months-old infrastructure startup, and an agreement to purchase close to USD 45 billion worth of computing from xAI, signed in May 2026. Anthropic has also announced a separate agreement with Advanced Micro Devices to build computing infrastructure.

From Bitcoin mining to AI infrastructure

Riot Platforms, previously known as Bioptix and originally focused on diagnostic machinery for the biotech industry, shifted its business towards Bitcoin mining before its current move into cloud computing. The company is among several cryptocurrency mining firms now expanding into AI data centre capacity to meet rising demand for computing power.

Following news of the deal, Riot Platforms’ shares rose 25% to USD 24.40 in late trading on 10 August 2026. The company also reported second-quarter sales that beat expectations, partly attributed to its data centre business.
